New, fun, and unique dining experience!! My boyfriend and I came to Chow last Friday and I was very pleased with the change of pace versus a traditional restaurant. Upon entering there are two big digital screens with the food menu (which was described as global-american cuisine)and a list with a wide variation of wine/beer to choose from. The girl behind the desk informed us that the concept was considered "fast-casual" dining. We then ordered our food with her, kept our tab open for future drinks, and picked our own seats. Within minutes our server had greeted us with the drinks we ordered upfront and shortly after, our food arrived. The Spicy Jambalaya I had ordered was phenomenal. The shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage went great with the zesty sauce and had that perfect amount of kick to it. My boyfriend's Prime Braised Brisket was also amazing. The meat was so tender and was topped with a tasty demi-jus. Finally we ordered their Red Velvet Cupcake for dessert. The cupcake was filled with chocolate and topped with cream-cheese icing. Then accommodated by a rich, dark chocolate scoop of ice cream and smothered in a homemade chocolate ganache. It was heavenly. We had a great dining experience at Chow284. Menu was different, food quality was amazing and reasonably priced and, in addition, the atmosphere was a refreshing upscale-casual, so to say. It was a very pleasant and professional experience and I would definitely be returning!
